District Wire is a bilingual, bi-cultural news website that includes a weekly newscast produced in Washington, D.C. at American University’s Multimedia Production Center. Professor Carolyn Brown serves as the managing editor. Our goal is to find stories that impact the American University and Washington DC community. We produce newscasts in English and Spanish and multimedia news stories. We are a group of faculty members and students (graduate and undergraduate) dedicated to reporting stories that are both informative and relevant. Our Latino Wire section is focused on bi-cultural news content. It is in both English and Spanish and focuses on stories that impact the Latino community here in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
